YANGTZE RIVER - 8342 CULTURAL DISTRICT

Yangtze River -8342 Cultural District is a renovation project based on the site of former Shanghai 7th Silk Factory and nearby plantation. Despite its vast dimension of 118 acres, the project is animated by different typologies of public spaces. The overall design attempts to propose a vibrant community that embodies maker culture using diversified industrial forms and materials. Along with a multi-functional theatre space that allows for public investigation into arts & humanities, the center proves to be a fusion of different cultures and industries.

TIBETAN THANGKA ART MUSEUM

The design of the Thangka Museum honors the distinctness of Tibetan culture and aims to bring the art of Thangka painting to the public. Its planning incorporates both art and Buddhist culture to create a coherent understanding of Lhasa, Tibet. Inspired by the Potala Palace and its structural composition along the Red Hill, the Lhasa Thangka Museum reproduces a similar combination of volumes through imitating the ascending topography. The exterior façade also delivers a rich knowledge about the site. Composed of local materials, the façade adopts a receding slope (batter) typical of traditional Tibetan architecture. The interior of the museum is organized by the idea of the Noble Eightfold Path leading to liberation. While appreciating the beauty of Thangka painting, the visitor ascends in the building along the “path” and eventually arrives at a rooftop terrace that offers a panoramic view of the landscape and the Potala Palace. On the end of the rooftop terrace houses a tower that brings skylight into the building.

CHENGDU BACCHUS LIQUOR CENTER

This project includes the planning and construction of Bacchus brand experience, spirits and cocktail knowledge experience, conference center, small wine storage and supporting businesses and Bacchus boutique hotel. The design scope of this scheme is the construction scope of the first phase delineated in the experience center land (227 mu), as well as the connection and design of the visiting route of the factory area.

TEA MUSEUM

YANQI LAKE - VILLAGE

Yanqi Lake Village is situated near Yanqi Lake, a developing zone under governmental planning to create a unique and international community based on eco-friendly regulations.

Bacchus Experience Park

This project is located in Pudong New District, Shanghai, with a construction area of about 40,000 square meters, half of which is the headquarters office of Bacchus Group, and the other half is the whiskey experience center. The project intends to create a “799 CAMPUS ecology” based on the lifestyle of young people. It advocates the value of “cultural symbiosis, naturalness, and fun” to make consumers resonate with and identify with the brand, gather a group of life-loving brand loyal customers, and let young people Whiskey culture is also acceptable. The existing building is an industrial office building. The existing building structure is used to endow the building with “cultural symbiosis”. The combination of old and new sites creates a “natural” landscape atmosphere, introduces new elements, and creates a new “witty” experience.

SHANGHAI SOFITEL HOTEL

The project is located in Shanghai, Fengxian District, Zhuanghang Town. The north of the site is the Huangpu River, surrounded by conservation forests, and there are wild sika deer in the conservation forests. It is rare in the Shanghai area, and it is a superior land with natural landscape resources such as river view and forest view. It has great potential in the market of short vacations and micro-travels that do not leave Shanghai, and can compete with neighboring Jiangsu and Zhejiang for a part of weekend tourists. At the same time, the hotel will also be equipped with extremely rich business meeting resources. As a special business event venue, it has its own moat in the business hotel market in Shanghai. Covering an area of 40,108.4 square meters, with a total construction area of about 100,000 square meters, it has 293 rooms and two super-large conference halls, contributing an excellent meeting, vacation and micro-travel destination for Fengxian, Shanghai, and even the Yangtze River Delta region.

Public & Cultural Architecture

Zhengzhou International New Art Center is located in Zhengzhou Economic Development new District center Green axis Terminal, butterfly Lake.

AL THANI MOSQUE AND MUSEUM

The mosque is simple ogive volume composed by a double facade: in front one white metal moucharabieh and behind a second massive gold facade.

21 KM RIVER BANK URBAN DESIGN

The planning of the 21 KM follows the five themes of Reconstruction, Connection, Activation, Culture, and Illumination to transform a formerly scattered landscape into a continuous and inclusive community. Through the study of circulation and local activities, the 21 KM aims to construct a vibrant space in between the built environment and the natural landscape. The 21 KM is composed of three types of pathways – Explorer, Stroller, and Runner – with each promoting a distinct lifestyle within the diverse urban environment. Perched on the side of the east bund, the intertwined pathways merge into a complete, unified waterfront delineated by the river. Five nodes were designed to bridge the disconnected landscape, creating new leisure opportunities and walking experiences for each section of the promenade.

HIPPODROME

The Grandstand, the Parade Ring, the Broadcasting Tower, the Exposition Center and several other functions have been thought as one entity which has to reflect the spirt of the entire project.

CZESTOCHOWA - RAILWAY STATION

The first phase of design finds its roots from the existing structure of the bridge over the railway tracks, which has been fully preserved and is extended to the east and west directions. At both ends, the new bridge is supported by clear volumes on the ground floors, of which the eastern one, the larger volume houses the ticket offices, information, car rental point, ticket vending machines, information centers, toilets and includes entrance to the existing underground passage. In terms of spatial decisions, the second phase of design is a continuation of phase 1. The upper volume(bridge) of the station is stretched up to the western frontage of Avenue Wolności and supported on two additional glass volumes on the ground floor. In the newly created part, it will be possible to locate any commercial functions, of which the hotel function seems to be the most reasonable due to the touristic & pilgrimage nature of the city. On the ground level would be other hotel functions: lobby, restaurant, and conference rooms. The height of the ground floor part will allow mezzanine functions to be used for services.

BINGLING VILLAGE

The project of Bingling village is one of many projects promoted by the Chinese Government, whose primary goal is to increase rural villages’ living conditions. By bringing new life, new working opportunities, and new amenities, these areas are becoming attractive even for the people living in the city.

APOLLOMICS RESERCH CENTER

The project is located in the international airport area of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport, with a site area of 59 mu, including Crown Biomedical’s research headquarters and pharmaceutical production plant. The basic concept of the park is divided into 4 directions, namely: introduction of natural ecology, collision of imagination and inspiration, efficient communication, and a sense of community belonging This scheme provides a free and open plane, including the experimental space, where everyone works in an open and barrier-free environment. The intention of the building is to provide a flexible workspace that can be easily arranged and adjusted. At the same time, it encourages communication among colleagues at work, which helps to improve work efficiency and inspire inspiration. In the park site, various sports facilities are provided for employees to improve their physical fitness, increase their satisfaction and loyalty to the company, and improve work efficiency. The building itself is an open and easy-to-communicate space. Combined with the site landscape and sports facilities, it forms a good interaction, promotes a vibrant community atmosphere, and improves the happiness and sense of belonging of the company’s employees.

LINPAN MUSIC TOWN

The project has been conceived following the rule of 100km rayon, for all the material used for the builings, using natual ventilation and good sun lignt exposure in order to reduce the consumption of electricty, using renewable materials in soustanable constrution (stone, woods).

LECCETELLA WINERY CULTURAL CENTER

Located in the municipality of Murlo, in Siena’s Province, this project is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Tuscan countryside. The project is meant to fit context becoming a modern wine-production location as well as a cultural center. Besides providing all the necessary surfaces needed by the winery, space will be created for the use of artistic performances and concerts for 300 people. The project wants to reduce as minimum as possible the hill’s excavations therefore is composed by different volumes, standing discreetly in its surrounding, leaning on the morphology of the hill following its principal direction. The geometrized contour lines of the hill become the main structural walls of the winery. The walls, made with the local stone, outline the inside wine production space. The wine selling area and tasting are located in the volume that leans over the walls creating the only distinguishable architectural signal in the project: a sort of a telescope towards the valley.

ECO BUILDING

The project uses all the last technology and a careful savoir-faire in order to respect the environment. A double façade create a thermic filter and at the same time a space use to make small cultivations.

AL THANI COMMERCIAL CENTER

Located in Al-Khor, the project is a luxury commercial center containing different functions inside as retails, multipurpose theatre, a city of cinemas with 25 halls and different kind of services. The concept is based on the harmonic waving of two slabs: the lower one, touching and rebounding on the floor, announcing with its movement the different entrances. The “roof wave” frames the building, creating a sinuous movement. The different volumes intersecting the slabs can be used and their façade customized by different fashion brands in order to mark strongly their presence in the building. The facade could be treated with a metal translucent mashrabiya inspired on the brand typical pattern.

VILLA XIAMEN

Project of a house of 3,900m², the Client wanted to the house to be inspired to a French Castle of the XVII sec.

Baccus Hotel

We want to creat a new identity in the city skyline, to point out the importance of this 7 stars hotel project.

EXTENSION OF THE SEASIDE

The extension of the Seaside of Monaco will be a huge urban renewal for the city. The idea comes directly from the will of the Prince Albert; the new territory will lead the city into the future, preserving its own legend.

QINHUANGDAO - ARTIFICIAL ISLAND

Located in Qinhuangdao, the project is a touristic island with the possibility of being used all year long.

QATAR LUSAIL

Located in Doha, the project is a luxury housing building with two stores of public/private services.

Al THANI HIPPODROME

Located in Al-Khor, the project is composed by a hippodrome for 17.000 people and a luxury commercial center of 15.000m². The projects will represents one of the main landmark of the Qatar therefore we have been working in a deep connection with the local culture while promoting the modern development the Country is living The hippodrome is situated below the airplanes landing corridor to Doha, therefor the vision from the sky has been inspiring for the concept. The building is the Qatar “falcon”, followed by the golden egg (entrance of the commercial center). The different volumes containing offices, administration and the commercial center are framed between the different levels of the hippodrome. Facades are treated with metal skin, references to the local tradition with Arabesque pattern screened onto the glass behind and parametrically manipulated to create a translucent mashrabiya.

PINGSHAN HEADQUARTERS

The project is located in Pingshan, a new district of Shenzhen. Shenzhen is a well-known city of northeast Guandgong province, mainly attractive for its industrial activities.

AL THANI MAIN TOWER

It’s a multifunction luxury building located in a huge urban development in the city of Al-Khor. The central position gives it a visibility from the neighborhoods all around and at the same time marks the presence of the entire project. The building respects the architectural history of Al-Khor and, at the same time, wants to be a symbol of modernity. The main idea comes from the Arabian tent’s movement, starting from the ground and reaching the sky. It has been conceived respecting the “high Environmental Quality”, which stars from a good understanding of the climate condition, the orientation and the sun impact. The external part of the project is composed by massive walls, of 1.5m width, where are dig opening where their form has been inspired by the Arabian Culture. The position and orientation of the external walls are studied in order to allow the opening of an internal glass facade, protected by the extreme daylight and heart. The tower is composed by three major volumes connected by passerels at different levels. At the ground floor the three volumes allow circulations directly “under” the tower without being a barrier.

BEIJING LIFE SCIENCE PARK COMPLEX

The project is located in Zhongguancun Life Science Park in Beijing. It is, highly concentrated cutting-edge technology, industry cluster; an urban complex composed by hotels, business centres, exhibitions areas, headquarters office, and apartments

ZHAO BEI KOU - NEW CITY

The urban planning is based on the following principles:

BEIJING ZHONGGUANCUN HI-TECH INNOVATION PARK

We chose the small street network to divide the plot effectively, in the overall layout. The site will is enclosed with constructions, defining well it presence in the city and shaping the space around the central park. The office buildings are on the outside of the site, having good access and relative privacy; the public buildings are placed in the middle of the site; thus each office can be quickly linked to the common area. The commercial area is deployed on the first floor of the office buildings, around the central park area, open park of sports, are located the conference centre, the entertainment, exhibition, leisure to the public.

GELA MARINA

Gela, situated on the southern coast of Sicily, lies in front of the islands of Malta and Lampedusa. The marina proposal foresees the construction of 500 berths and public yachting service facilities open also to Gela residents. The new Marina, therefore, represents a fundamental element for the regeneration of the entire waterfront

BAOJI DREAM PORT

Baoji Dream Port is considered to be the most important project in the last 20 years of development in Baoji.

ZHENGZHOU RIVERSIDE SPORTS AND CULTURAL CENTER

The design of Zhengzhou Riverside Sports and Cultural Center calls for a network of individual buildings that serves each of its distinct function. A common roof sits on top of the buildings and bridges the separate volumes with a scenic view of a public garden. The rooftop garden is essentially a retreat from the bustling streets beneath – a quiet place that accommodates more introspective activities such as dining, yoga, fitness etc.

HOSTARIA URBANA

Hostaria Urbana is a new Parisian gathering space, a restaurant inspired by the Italian culture of trattorias.

JINAN NEW ERA HEADQUARTERS SQUARE

Jinan New Era Headquarters Square is an important office and urban park in Jinan Free Trade Pilot Zone. The goal of the project is to create a better life and better place to work for users.

VILNIUS NATIONAL CONCERT HALL

The national Concert Hall of Vilnius it will be a very symbolic project for the city situated in one of the most central and visible site: at the top of a hill, in the center of the city, connecting two parks together. The projects is a composition of two volumes, the philharmonic house and the chamber music hall, connected in the Ground Floor level. Between the two elements an external space, a plaza, elevated point of view toward the city, connecting the two parks together, and possible extension for external performances for the music hall, during summer time. The façade is composed by glass bricks, some transparent some opaque, creating a vibrant pixelization of the façade.

Lady M IAPM Shop

IAPM Lady M Patisserie situates at the focal point of a bustling commercial district and straddles two separate spheres: a semi-outdoor underground courtyard near MTR entrance/exit and an indoor lobby that leads to an immersive shopping experience in one of Shanghai’s most high-end malls.

CHINA FRANCE AVIATION UNIVERSITY

Hangzhou Yuhang District Sino-French Aviation University is a cooperative project between Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and The National Civil Aviation University of France.

TINGLIN NEW COMMUNITY URBAN DESIGN

Tinglin URBAN Planning Project is located in the Jinshan District of Shanghai, with a total land area of 509 hectares, of which 65.8 hectares of green space, 30.89 hectares of water, 125 hectares of roads, 289 hectares of land can be developed, 60 hectares of land has been built, and other development plots of 204 hectares, with a total planned population of 128,000.

QATAR HORSE CITY

The project is located 70 km north of Doha close to Al Khor village. The necessity of having a new Hippodrome gave the idea to the Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa to have an entire city dedicated to ancestral emirate’s companion: the horse. The city provides everything related with horses: a Hippodrome, a Polo Field, a Horse Museum, and miles of horse walks. Visitors can stay several days in between a horse race and a polo match in this amazing place. This is why hotels, golf courts, shopping malls, villas, business center and lots of gardens are available in the city. The different neighborhoods are organized mainly by their functions: living, working and entertain. Each one has their own urban and architectural identify and at the same time they are interconnected.

BEIJING - URBAN DEVELOPMENT SOUTH AXE

The urban planning for Beijing South Central Axis is considered a project of national interest. It is part of the Beijing middle axis that connects the Forbidden City to the new Beijing Daxing International Airport at the end of the axis. The planning of the south central axis revolves around the idea of developing a new image for Beijing urbanism through the discussion of the city’s history, form, planning, and urban landscape. While the planning carries on the city’s tradition in placing cultural architecture along the central axis, the community is also reconstructed into a more inclusive space allowing for a new architectural identity. In addition, the development is built as an extension to the pedestrian pathway of the existing central axis.

XI’AN JINYE ROAD COMMERCIAL CENTER

Xi’an is the capital of Shaanxi Province, located in the centre of Guanzhong Plain. We aim to promote cultural development of the Xi’an City by creating a first-class public cultural buildings. The program is mixed, including offices, housing hotel, commercial centre and a theatre. On the roof there is a garden with a retail area organised as a village, promoting small shops, restaurant and creating a nice walking experience overlooking the surrounding city. Creating high quality residential areas. Residential towers are located along the central open space in order to provide nice views and promoting a good quality of living. Over 30% of the site is kept as Open Space for the active and passive recreation of the residents. The Hotel, located on the roof of the commercial centre, is organised around an internal courtyard in order to create a calm space separated by the noise of the city. Xian Performing Arts Centre is an important cultural facilities. Inspired by the traditional Chinese temple, this new temple of music and culture will be the heart of the entire complex.

XIONG XIAN NEW CITY

The project is a deep restructuration and extension of the ancient city of Xiong- Xian, south of Beijing. China government, in order to disenclave the Capital wants to develop since few years different new cities surrounding Beijing in order to move out the capital specific functions. The project conception is based on Nature. We wanted to promote a sponge city and to create natural spaces inside of the city promoting a good and healthy quality of life. Different treatments of natural spaces promote the identity of each neighborhood. The Urban Planning is organized on the typical traditional Chinese city, with a main central axe, passing through a main square. The city is divided in different 4 main neighborhoods. The Center, with the central square, traditional in the Chinese urbanisme, promoting an urban aggregation point in front of the existing city hall. High and medium rise buildings with mixed program offices, housing, retail, equipment. The City Belt, separated from the Center with the Green Belt Park, defining its perimeter. Medium and low rise buildings, with mixed program services, housing, retail, equipment. The Old Town where, we create a modern version of the traditional Chinese old town. The North Neighborhood, where we used the Archipelago urban concept, creating separated urban island in the middle of nature, promoting factories, start up.

BATULAO ARTSCAPE FLOATING CHAPEL

The Chapel born from the overlapping of different layers, different white sheets creating a movement ending at the tower bell.

BATULAO PREFAB HOTEL

Located at Batulao, in the middle of an amazing nature, the four Stars hotel it is composed by several prefabricated element assembled in an EXO SKELTUM metal structure, which allows to create hanging gardens, opening, interruptions, in order to break the massive aspect for the building, and a promote a better connection with the surroundings. In the exterior as per the interior design we use local materials and traditional pattern in order to create a dialogue with the local culture.
