Tinglin URBAN Planning Project is located in the Jinshan District of Shanghai, with a total land area of 509 hectares, of which 65.8 hectares of green space, 30.89 hectares of water, 125 hectares of roads, 289 hectares of land can be developed, 60 hectares of land has been built, and other development plots of 204 hectares, with a total planned population of 128,000.
The project is based on the Sponge City concept: promoting green spaces inside and between the different plots in order to create zones collecting the rain water and promote a good quality of living for its inhabitants.
A central green belt connects the new development with the ancient town. A city park passing through the new neighborhood, promoting open air activities and containing different kind of common services and sport equipment.
The total construction area of the program is 5.73 million square meters.
